Join us Wednesday, August 31st at 7pm
at our Hammer and Stain NCHS Studio
 for a DIY workshop to make one of our 
Game Tile Holders! 

Game Tile holders start with 3 Tiles and can go up to 12 Tiles. Each tile measures approximately 5.5x5.5 inches. There ae two main project options:

1.Tiles with the Tile Stand
2. Tiles only, no stand

Projects with out the stand are great for creating Game Tile walls or adding a new set of tiles to an existing project.

If you choose the project with the stand:

The entire project stands about 6 inches tall. Length is determined by the number of tiles.  All measurements are approximate:

 We have also added several fall and Halloween projects to the standard lineup for a fun festive touch! You can order those projects just like they are, no need to customize!

You will be able to customize your project in studio with your choice of stain & paint colors. This registration will allow for one adult to make a 6" tall Scrabble Tile Holder. 

To select your project you will need to:
1. Determine if you would like to make a project with or without the stand.
2. Select the number of tiles for your project.
3. Select the tile style(s). You can choose between nautical flags, standard game tiles or icons.
4. After making these selections, proceed with the regular check out process.

Pick you project here & our instructors will teach you to stain and paint (by stencil, not free-hand) your own wooden décor. Photos shown are just examples, you will choose your own stain and paint colors in the studio on the day of your workshop. 

In Studio requests need to be made at least 2 days in advance to insure we have all of the materials and time to build your requested project. All Hammer@Home and Make it for Me kits will be available within 1 week of order placement. 




**If you choose a Make it for Me option we will be in touch with you to discuss your color selection.


**If you choose a Hammer@Home Kit we will prepare all materials for your project and you will be able to pick out your colors when you come to the studio to pick it up. 


**If you choose to schedule an In Studio session:

 

Pick you project here & our instructors will teach you to stain and paint (by stencil, not free-hand) your own décor. Photos shown are just examples, you will choose your own stain and paint colors in the studio on the day of your workshop. 

 

How to register:

  1. Select your project by clicking photo/selecting in dropdown box. 
  2. Enter personalization if required, if not, enter N/A. If the photo shows personalization (name or date), you will enter your name/date. Otherwise, project does not come with personalization. 
  3. Enter any seating  requests. 
  4. Agree to terms & conditions. Proceed to checkout. 
  • Simple substitutions of words within a design and layout can be generally made at no additional charge. Anything beyond a small change will have a design charge added of $10-$25 depending on the nature of the request.
  • Due to the customization at ALL our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS FOR WORKSHOPS! However, if you cancel with at least 24 hours notice your project will be saved and can be completed at a future workshop within 30days. Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT get a credit for a future workshop!
  • Please email us (hammerandstain.northcharleston@gmail.com) to cancel. If you no show for a workshop that you have a spot reserved, you forfeit your payment.


 
*Simple substitutions of words within the shown design and layout can generally be made at no additional charge. However, significant changes to our standard designs or special requests for a new design are considered custom and must be pre-approved and submitted at least 7 days prior to your event. If approved, a customization fee of $10-$25 will apply.

 

You're welcome to BYO wine or beer to sip and enjoy during the workshop as well as, snacks.

  • This is WOOD workshop so your sign WILL HAVE random cracks, chips, knots and other NATURAL blemishes that give it it's characteristics! Some peeling may occur. We will do our very best to minimize disturbances to the words and make everything look intentional! Please keep in mind, no sign is absolutely perfect, as it is hand crafted, but it will certainly be WALL worthy! 
  • Simple substitutions of words within a design and layout can be generally made at no additional charge. Anything beyond a small change will have a design charge added of $10-$25 depending on the nature of the request.
  • Cancellation of this workshop must be made 5 days before the workshop due to the amount of prep work and food purchase.  Less than 5 days notice of cancellation before the workshop but at least 1 day before the date of the workshop will not be eligible for a refund, but we will hold your wood project ONLY for 30 days for you to complete at another time.   Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT get a hold on their wood project or be eligible for a refund!
  • Please email us (hammerandstain.northcharleston@gmail.com) to cancel. If you no show for a workshop that you have a spot reserved, you forfeit your payment.

 

How to Register

1. Choose a Design from the Drop Down Menu.

2. On the personalization form, enter any personalized data needed to prepare your stencil.

3. Select quantity and add to cart,

4. Agree to the waiver during the check out process.

5. Select Local Pick up as your shipping option if you are attending a workshop.

Can I make a change to the design?

Yes, you can! Simple substitutions of words with in the shown design and layout can generally be made at no additional charge. However, significant changes to our standard designs or special requests for a new design are considered custom and must be pre-approved. Significant changes should be submitted at least 7 days prior to the workshop to ensure we have time to develop the design. If the design is approved your custom design will incur and additional charge of $25.

What to wear and bring?

Wear comfortable clothes to the workshop. We will provide you with aprons to wear during your workshop, but paint happens! Be sure to not wear your favorite tee or jeans.

You may bring food, beer or wine (21+ guests) to snack on or share with your friends or family during the workshop.

Workshop Expectations

This is a WOOD workshop. Your sign will have cracks, chips, knot and other natural blemishes that give wood its distinctive characteristics. Some peeling may occur during the process, We will do our best to minimize disturbances to the words and make everything look intentional. Please keep in mind that no sign is absolutely perfect a it is handcrafted. Your piece will certainly be WALL worthy and ready for you to display in your home or give as a gift.

Workshop Policies

Due to customization at ALL our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS for workshops. However, if you cancel with at least 24 HOURS notice your project will be saved and can be completed at a future workshop or Open Paint session within the next 30 DAYS. Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT recieve a credit for a future workshop.
